Graduation Card

It's March and graduation is just around the corner.  Everybody's getting emotional these days specially those who are graduating,because they will be separated from their friends and classmates.  Arrrrghh! It reminds me of my graduation last year.  I know they will also miss their school life, like what I felt.

Since some of my friend in college are graduating, I  decided to make a card  to greet them congratulations and to give some pieces of inspiration.  I was inspired to make a toga cap as a card to give a touch of uniqueness.

These cards has blue tassels because I will give these to my friends who took up education, just like their tassels in their real toga.

I used lace and button for this flower.

I don't know what kind of embellishment to put, that's why I made tickets to make it personalize.

I up-cycled an old denim to make this flower and added a button as a center.

These cards are for my friends who took up nursing, the reason why I used green as tassel to reflect their real tassel from their toga.

Enjoy R.N, to give an inspiration as they continue their journey in facing  their Nursing Licensure Exam to become a registered nurse.

I used a satin ribbon for this flower and a pearl for the center.



I hope you got  an inspiration from this cards.  Try it and you can even alter it.

Hello crafters and travelers, I'm back!

I miss blogging, (urgggh!).

Some of you might know that I reviewed in Baguio City for my  Nursing Board Exam and I worked for 2 months in Cavite, that's why I failed to post here regularly. Who among you guys knows about the newest Guinness World Record largest ten commandments?  


That ten commandments is just walking distance from my boarding house in Baguio.  Sometimes during our review we need to unwind, because reviewing is a such stressful thing.  Since I know a place in Baguio City which is called the abandoned Diplomat Hotel where horror things happen, I invited my friends to have a tour there.  Not knowing that there is a new building inside the compound of that hotel, and that is the Largest Ten Commandments in the World.

Outdoor Travel In Antong Falls

The Philippines offers a wide variety of enjoyable activities for local and international visitors. For example, there are thousands of waterfalls in the Philippines that are ideal locations for adventure trekking, picnics and other forms of individual or group adventure travel.

The Antong Falls (a.k.a Seven Falls) in Sison, Pangasinan is one of the most exciting Philippine tourist attractions. Tourists regularly visit this popular adventure travel location because it provides them with a relaxing experience and a chance to encounter the overwhelming beauty of nature.

 This fascinating falls in the Philippines can be found about 10 kilometers away from the town proper of Sison, Pangasinan. The province of  Pangasinan is known for producing salt and fresh water fish as well as a haven for oyster and sea urchin farms. Of course, it is also the home province of the Antong Falls and other outdoor adventure travel destinations.

Tourist who are on the lookout for an ideal place for picnics and outdoor recreation will not be disappointed if they head out to the Antong Falls. The enchanting falls rapids down a basin on a mountainside. It overlooks a flourishing landscape of forest cover and rice fields so visitors will be able to enjoy a great view in the course of their outdoor adventure travel.

So how can one visit this majestic falls in the Philippines? Well, interested tourists can take the buses from  from Manila that go to La Union and Ilocos. They can then disembark in the town of Manaoag in Pangasinan after a trip that lasts around 6 hours.  It's quite a long trip but it's is well worth the travel. 

 

Tourist will pass through the verdant fields of Pangasinan as they journey to this premiere outdoor adventure travel destination. This experience will provide them with a glimpse of the Filipino farmers' way of life and help them appreciate the hard work that goes into raising crops.

 

The fatigue and boredom that accumulate on the trip to this wonderful falls in the Philippines will quickly disappear once the tourist view the refreshing sight of Antong Falls. The cool flowing water and the beauty of this group adventure travel location will wash away all the worries of the visitors.

tips for scrapbook hauling

I've been doing scrapbook since 2009 and I know how it feels when you need to sacrifice some of your allowance just to buy new stuffs for your scrapbook, especially when you're still a student like me.  We are all aware that scrapbooking stuffs like the embelishments, papers and tools are so expensive and you really need to save money if you are planning to buy some new stuffs.

For this reason I have some tips for you on how you can get a cheaper scrapbook stuffs without compromising the quality.

1.Check list

• Go to your craft room/area, list all the materials that you needed specially those necessary things that are running out.  Bring the list with you during shopping, in this way you can avoid buying unnecessary things. 

2. Sale

• Wait for the sale or Mid year sale for a bigger discount.  Malls offer up to 70% off in every product they have.  A saleslady even told me that when they have new products, old products tend to be on sale.  

3. Changge/local stores

• Don't forget to check your local stores or changge (as we call it here in P.I) and curtain/fabric stores.  You just don't know that they sell good qualities of fabrics, laces, trims and even buttons that you can use as an embelishment in your scrapbook page. 

4. Don't just look at the price

•  Before putting the "thing" in your cart paused for a second and think.  "do you need it?" "Do you have plans for it?" Don't just grab everything which is on sale even if you have the money, because you might end up wasting your money with the unusable product that you purchased.

5. Check the Quality

• This is very important, take note that if it is not season of sale sometimes they are just putting products on sale because there is something wrong with it.  Before purchasing it be sure that you had checked the quality and sure that it is still functioning specially on scrapbook tools.

6. Be Friendly

• Make friends with the saleslady or even with the owner of the store.  If you are their regular customer and a friend of the owner, specially on small stores they might give you discounts.  You can also request them to notify you if they have products that are on sale.

7. Get testers

• If you are fond of using lace or fabrics.  It is better for you to buy maybe a yard to use as a tester, and if you love the end product of the fabric tester you can already buy it in a bulk so that you will not waste your money buying massive fabrics and at the end of the day you don't know what to do with those.

8. List of Contacts

• It is also good if you have friend connected with your interest.  Follow their blogs, subscribe to their youtube, follow them on twitter and add them in facebook. In this way you can also get ideas where to shop or order goodies with good quality and good price.  

9. Yard/Garrage Sale

• looking for a cheap price? This is the perfect place for you!  You can find things here that you can use in your scrapbook.  if you are here in this Philippines, I know this thing is not popular and very rare, so what you need to look for is an "UKAY-UKAY".  There is a place I found in Baguio that sells tools and other things even ribbons and laces and they are really in a good price.  Just explore your place.

10. SAVE MONEY

• The secret of buying a good product is saving money.  If you want something save money for it, so that you will not compromise your home budget or your allowance.  Don't rush on buying what you want, buy what you need and not what you want.  Always remember "The best thing in life is worth waiting for".
